A Remarkable Mark Mason. W.Bro. Eustace Anthony (Tony) Johnson. PGJD
Flixton Shepherd Eastwood Mark Lodge. No.1173

Today Friday 13th October Tony is Celebrating his 104th Birthday, he is still going strong and does still attend his Lodge whenever he feels strong enough. His illustrious past would make a good novel, he fought on nearly all the different fronts during the Second World War, from baking deserts to landing on Gold Beech on D Day, for which he received the Rank of Chevalier Ordre National de la Legion d ’Honour presented by the French Ambassador.

In his youth he was an active sportsman, cycling etc and I believe he was a brilliant water Polo player, he worked all his life for a large local company and became a leading member of the management team right up to retirement. He took up the Chair in his Craft Lodge during its Centenary Year and was a credit to all its members on such an auspicious occasion.

Today I’m sure we would all like to Wish Tony a Very Happy Birthday and Many More to come.
